CBR/CBZ files don't have to have jpgs, they can have other image files inside them. I seem to remember ones with gifs or tiffs in them.I discovered comic archives several years ago, and I actually wrote a Mac program for reading CBR/CBZ files, that supported 2-page views, right-to-left reading (for manga) and so on. Then I realized that the only source for these things were pirate scans, so I felt bad and never distributed it. It was fun plowing throw 30 years of Iron Man comics on weekend, though, along with fan translations of Hellsing and Ghost in the Shell and, ah, er, something called "Slut Girl". I often scan my own comics (and other books too) so that I can read them easily on the go. With todays scanners, I can scan a whole book in 10-15 minutes, which is ok.What you probably meant to say is "every cbr that can be downloaded from somewhere is pirated".
